Kuwait SC announced today, Sunday, the appointment of Syrian Firas Al-Khatib as the head coach of the first football team, succeeding Santos FC, to lead the team in the 2026-2027 season.
Al-Khatib returns to coaching after a four-year stint with Al-Fahaheel, during which he successfully led the team to the championship group in the Kuwaiti league, before his relationship with the club ended this summer.
Kuwait SC's task comes at a critical time as they prepare to defend their league title, with a match against Al-Arabi to open the season on August 25.
