Udinese have officially announced that their Italian forward Nicolò Zaniolo has suffered an injury after undergoing medical examinations following his early return from the Italy national team camp. It has been confirmed that he has sustained a muscle injury that will keep him out of action for the foreseeable future.

The club has clarified that Nicolò Zaniolo is suffering from an injury to the hamstring of his right thigh, an injury he sustained while with the Italian national team, before leaving the camp and returning to Udinese to begin his treatment and rehabilitation program.

According to the official statement, Nicolò Zaniolo has already started his rehabilitation phase at Udinese, and he is expected to be available for participation again in 3 to 4 weeks, meaning he will miss several matches for Udinese in the upcoming period.

The injury comes as another blow for Zaniolo, who had previously suffered a muscle issue that kept him out for about a month before returning to play with Udinese, only to be forced to stop again due to the same injury in the thigh area.

Udinese's medical staff are set to gradually prepare the player over the coming weeks, avoiding the risk of his return before full recovery, aiming for a return to the pitch between late October and early November.
