The Algerian national team has continued its rise in the FIFA world rankings, climbing one position to occupy 28th place globally, according to the new ranking released by FIFA today, Wednesday.

Algeria's rise comes after the results achieved by the national team in recent times, as they managed to win two matches, including one official encounter, while settling for a draw in a third match, earning enough points to climb to the new position.

On both the African and Arab fronts, Algeria has maintained its position in third place, continuing its presence among the leading teams in both continents.

Algeria's Africa Cup of Nations Qualification rivals have seen some changes in the rankings, as Zambia dropped one place to rank 91st in the world, while Togo fell the same amount to 120th.

In contrast, Burundi has made notable progress by climbing two places to settle at 140th in the world.

At the top of the world rankings, the top four national teams maintained their positions unchanged, with Spain continuing to lead the table, ahead of Argentina, France, and England respectively.

There was one change in the top five positions, as Portugal advanced to fifth place, continuing its presence among the elite national teams in the world.
