Wydad Casablanca have suffered another blow ahead of their match against Amal Tiznit, scheduled for next Sunday at the Mohammed V Complex, as part of the fourth round of the national professional league, after it was decided to suspend their goalkeeper El Mehdi Benabid for two matches.

The disciplinary committee of the National Professional Football League has suspended El Mehdi Benabid, along with Marouane Ouhrou, the defender of MAS Fes, for the same duration, following their use of inappropriate language that goes against the spirit of sportsmanship during their teams' last two matches.

According to 'Radio Mars', the punishment for Wydad Casablanca's goalkeeper came due to his actions during the match against Hassania Agadir, while the sanction for MAS Fes's defender was related to his conduct in the game against Raja Casablanca. These incidents were noted in the official reports by the referees and observers of both matches.

The decision comes as part of tightening disciplinary measures to address verbal abuses and behaviors that contradict the ethics of football practice, emphasizing the necessity for players to exercise self-control and respect for fans and the sporting public.

Wydad Casablanca and MAS Fes will need to find suitable alternatives to compensate for the absence of players as the importance of preparing for the upcoming rounds of the league increases.

Wydad Casablanca will have to manage the absence of their goalkeeper El Mehdi Benabid against Amal Tiznit, in a match where the team aims to continue their journey in the local competition.
