Ajax Amsterdam has officially signed German attacking midfielder Julian Brandt on a free transfer, with a contract extending for three seasons until June 30, 2029.
Julian Brandt is 30 years old and has spent the last seven seasons with Borussia Dortmund, having previously played six seasons with Bayer Leverkusen. He has also made 48 international appearances for the German national team.
Ajax's sporting director, Jordi Cruyff, commented on the deal saying: "Julian chose Ajax, and we are very happy about that. We have been in talks with him for several months, and he also had the opportunity to join other clubs. By signing Julian, we are getting a top-class international player with great experience and a fantastic mentality, and I am confident he will add real quality to our squad."
