The Algerian national team achieved a valuable victory over their Somali counterpart with a score of 3-0 in the ninth round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Mahmoud Amoura scored the opening goal in the 6th minute, assisted by Riyad Mahrez, and then Riyad Mahrez scored the second goal in the 19th minute, assisted by Faris Chaïbi.

In the 57th minute, Mohamed Amoura scored the third goal for Algeria, also assisted by Riyad Mahrez.

The Algerian national team raised its points to 22 at the top of the standings, securing a spot in the World Cup, while Somalia's points remained at one in sixth place.
