The first group stage of Gulf Cup 27 has concluded, with Saudi Arabia and Oman securing their places in the Semi-Final, while the identity of the qualifiers from the second group will be determined today, Wednesday.


In the first round of the competition, Iraq and Oman drew 1-1. Saudi Arabia secured a narrow victory over Kuwait with a score of 1-0. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates delivered a commanding performance against Yemen, winning 4-0. Qatar also had a successful outing, defeating Bahrain 2-0.


In the second round, Iraq defeated Kuwait 3-2, Saudi Arabia overcame Oman 3-0, while Qatar won against Yemen 1-0, and the United Arab Emirates triumphed over Bahrain 3-0.


Oman secured qualification by defeating Kuwait 3-1, while Saudi Arabia beat Iraq 2-0. Today, the matches between the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, and Bahrain and Yemen will take place at the same time.


The Semi-Final matches will take place on Saturday, October 3, where Saudi Arabia will meet the runner-up of Group B, while the leaders of Group B will face Oman. The final is set for Tuesday, October 6.
