France and Italy played to a 1-1 draw in their UEFA Nations League clash on Friday night at the Stade de France. This match was part of the third round of the competition.

France has increased its tally to 7 points to maintain its lead in the group, while Belgium's total stands at 6 points. Italy has collected its fourth point, whereas Türkiye is still without points in fourth place.

The match started cautiously with a clear hesitation from both teams, with a relative advantage for the French national team in terms of control and possession of the ball, while the Italian team relied on closing spaces and resorting to counter-attacks.

Despite France's dominance, the hosts struggled to create real chances against Gianluigi Donnarumma, while Italy managed to pose some threat to Mike Maignan's goal. In the 42nd minute, the referee disallowed a goal for the French national team scored by Moise Kean for offside, leaving the first half ending in a goalless draw.

With the start of the second half, the French national team succeeded in opening the scoring in the 55th minute, after Rayan Cherki executed a free-kick, which reached Michael Olise, who unleashed a powerful and remarkable shot that found the back of Donnarumma's net.

However, the Italian national team did not take long to respond, as Lisandro Bastoni managed to score the equalizer in the 68th minute, taking advantage of a mistake from the French defense, stealing the ball before advancing into the penalty area and firing it into the net.

The excitement continued in the closing minutes as Eduardo Camavinga's powerful shot was brilliantly saved by Donnarumma, before the Italian national team responded with a dangerous attack that Maignan managed to clear.

Dayot Upamecano received a second yellow card in the 85th minute, leaving the pitch with a red card as France finished the match with ten players. Despite being a man down, the French national team continued to search for a winning goal, and Eduardo Camavinga fired another shot, but Gianluigi Donnarumma excelled once again and kept a clean sheet for Italy.

In stoppage time, Olise appealed for a penalty after going down in the box, but the referee signaled to continue play, resulting in a 1-1 draw, with each team earning a point from the match.
