The Turkish city of Konyaspor will host "Palestine Day" on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, as part of the "Konyaspor Capital of Youth for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation 2026" program, with the participation of the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Greater Konyaspor Municipality, and the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum.
The events include sessions for the 'Gaza Court', a Palestinian youth forum, as well as cultural and artistic exhibitions and workshops, as part of a program themed 'Our Home is Your Home', which aims to highlight the Palestinian cause and enhance solidarity with it.
Sessions of the 'Gaza Court' are taking place today at the Selçuklu Conference Center, before the center hosts the 'Palestinian Youth Forum', which discusses issues of youth solidarity, global advocacy, and the future of the Palestine cause, with the participation of several personalities and athletes.
The "Palestine Day" events conclude with a friendly match between the Palestine national team and Konyaspor, taking place at 8 PM at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium, in a match held under the slogan "Our home is your home".
The match holds special significance for the Palestine national team, given the difficulties that have prevented them from playing many of their international matches on Palestinian soil in recent years. The encounter with Konyaspor provides them with an opportunity to play in a Turkish atmosphere that carries a solidarity theme with Palestine.
