Barcelona announced today, Wednesday, that it has reached an agreement with young forward Nouhou Fofana to renew his contract for an additional four seasons, keeping him at the Catalan club until June 30, 2030.


The contract signing ceremony took place at the Joan Gamper Sports City, attended by the Director of Youth Football, José Ramón Alexanko, as part of the club's policy to retain its top emerging talents.


Fofana, born on July 28, 2008, in Mataró, is preparing for his second season in the Barcelona shirt after joining the club last summer from Cornella, and he quickly caught attention with his attacking abilities.


Last season, the young striker played 33 matches with the youth team, scoring 9 goals, including 4 in the Spanish Youth League and 5 in the Copa del Rey for youth. He also participated in 3 matches in the UEFA Youth Champions League and 4 matches in the Super Cup, further demonstrating his potential. Additionally, he made his debut with Barcelona Athletic, participating in four matches, confirming his continuous development and the club's strong confidence in his abilities.
