French club Strasbourg has begun its efforts to sign American international Giovanni Reyna during the summer transfer window, opening communication channels with the player and his club Borussia Mönchengladbach to discuss the possibility of completing the deal.

According to journalist Tom Bogert, negotiations have already started between the parties, reflecting the French club's desire to bolster its squad with a player who has experience in European leagues.

Despite this, a report from Sky Sports Germany has clarified that negotiations are still in the early stages and have not yet reached an advanced phase, meaning that a final agreement is still a long way off for now.

The report also indicated that Borussia Monchengladbach is open to selling Reyna this summer, if they receive a suitable offer that meets their financial demands, which could give Strasbourg the opportunity to finalize the deal in the coming weeks.
