According to "Youm7" newspaper, after Zamalek's management approved the departure of John Edward, the sporting director of the club, the intention within the White Castle is to assign the sporting director duties for the football team to Abdel Wahid Sid.
The newspaper added that Zamalek is preparing to enter the new season with a stable administrative structure for the football sector, combining the return of Abdel Wahid Sayed to the position of sporting director, and the continuation of Abdel Nasser Mohamed in his role as football director.
The club's management has linked Abdel Wahed Sid's administrative powers to the future of Abdel Nasser Mohamed with the team. Approval for Abdel Nasser to stay means Abdel Wahed will take charge of sports management, while his departure automatically grants him the position of director of football.
Abdel Wahid Sayed had previously held the position of football director at Zamalek during the tenure of Portuguese coach José Gomes, before leaving the club to work at Al Ahly Bank, and later at Masar Club, while Abdel Nasser Mohamed took over the football management.
Amidst various possibilities, Zamalek's board is racing against time to organize its administrative affairs and ensure the highest levels of stability before the start of the new season. This move is hoped by the white fans to positively reflect on the team's football journey and trophy collection.
