Udinese have suffered a major blow after Idrissa Gueye underwent surgery on his right ankle, following a recent injury that will keep him out for an extended period.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the surgery was performed by Professor Van Dijk at the San Rossore clinic in Pisa, and the operation was completely successful, with no complications reported.
Idrissa Gueye is expected to be sidelined for 3 to 4 months, meaning Udinese will miss one of their key players during an important part of the season as he begins his recovery and rehabilitation.
The player will undergo a gradual rehabilitation program under the supervision of the medical staff, with the hope of regaining fitness and returning to training and matches after the expected absence period.
