Former Manchester United player Fred has sharply criticized Dutch coach Erik ten Hag, stating that his experience with him was bitter despite acknowledging his great tactical abilities.

Fred, during his appearance on the "Charla" podcast, stated that Erik ten Hag was a special coach tactically, but he completely failed to manage the players in the team, adding: "Ten Hag was very good tactically, but he was very bad with the group. He was arguing with everyone."

The player explained that the Dutch coach's disagreements were not limited to him, but included several stars of the team, saying: "He would argue with me, with Ronaldo, with Casemiro, and with Rashford. He wouldn't include me in matches, and sometimes it became a source of tension."

Fred has accused Erik ten Hag of relying more on Dutch players, saying: "With Ten Hag, only Dutch players participate. There was a significant influence from the groups within the team."

Despite his sharp criticisms, Fred was keen to praise Erik ten Hag's tactical abilities, considering him one of the best managers he has worked with in this regard. He said: "Tactically, he was one of the best managers I have ever worked with."

Fred discussed Erik ten Hag's relationship with Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo, highlighting that the coach wanted to build a team based on speed, which led him to exclude Ronaldo from the starting lineup due to his age. This decision caused a strain in their relationship, resulting in a clear disagreement.
