Moroccan Ismail Sabiri, who recently joined Bayern Munich, began his first training session with the Bavarian team today, Saturday, after completing an individual training session at the club's headquarters in "Zapfner Straße."
Sabiri represented Morocco in the 2026 World Cup, scoring three goals during the tournament. However, he missed the quarter-final match against France due to injury.
The attacking midfielder is currently continuing his rehabilitation program and will not join Bayern Munich's squad for the Audi Summer Tour in Asia. He is expected to complete his recovery phase before returning to team training.
Max Eberl, Bayern's sporting director, stated that Sabiri wanted to participate in the Asian tour, adding: "Ismail is excited and would have liked to join the Asian tour, but he needs to complete his rehabilitation quietly to be available after the tour."
Eberl added that the plan is for Sibari to undergo the final phase of pre-season preparation with Bayern Munich.
