Former Real Madrid star Marcelo is being considered for the role of ambassador at FC Nantes as part of a potential takeover project led by Portuguese businessman Paulo Tavares.
According to L'Équipe, Tavares intends to include Marcello in his project to lead FC Nantes, with the former Brazilian star set to take on a representative and ambassadorial role for the club if the acquisition goes through.
Negotiations regarding the sale of FC Nantes are progressing, with advanced talks taking place with French and Portuguese investors backing the Tavares project. The deal could approach a value of €100 million.
Marcello's appointment is still unofficial as it is first linked to the completion of the club's ownership transfer from the Keita family to a potential investment group.
