Bologna has officially announced the signing of Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk from Roma on loan until June 30, 2027, with an option for the club to purchase his contract permanently at the end of the loan period.
Artem Dovbik is the first Ukrainian player in Bologna's history, showcasing his complete forward abilities with a blend of physical strength, finishing skills, and intelligent movement in the box. The player made a name for himself in the Ukrainian league with Dnipro-1 before catching the eye at Girona in Spain.
Dovbic led Girona to a historic qualification for the Champions League in the 2023-2024 season, scoring 24 goals and finishing as the top scorer in La Liga. In the summer of 2024, he transferred to Roma, where he netted 17 goals across all competitions in his first season with the 'Wolves'.
Despite a dip in his numbers during the 2025-2026 season due to a long injury, Bologna hopes that the Ukrainian striker will regain his best form and become a strong addition to the attack in the upcoming season.
